tips for traveling with children

Everyone knows that children can be a handful. Traveling with children requires a lot of planning to assure that your next trip doesn't become your next nightmare.
When traveling with children the following tips can be helpfull.
1.Brand your child
As funny as this may seem, this tip has helped a lot of parents. Children can easily become interested in the environment around them and can start wandering off. You can minimize the risk of losing your child by writing down your number on your child’s arm or by making them a necklace or bracelet.

2. always carry snacks with you
There are only a few things in life as dangerous as a hungry child. To make sure you have a happy child while traveling and not someone who’s constantly screaming and moaning, feed them with snacks until it’s time for a meal. Snacks are very important BUT try to avoid sweets. This will save you the troubles of dealing with a child who has a sugar rush.
Snacks to consider:
·    Fruits: Apples, oranges etc.
·    Dried fruits
·    Nuts(make sure they’re not allergic)
·    Rice cakes
·    Bars(fruit/nut bars, cereal bars)
·    Sandwiches
·    Sausages
·    boiled eggs

3. Activities to keep them busy
Always make sure you have enough toys for your child. Give them a toy once an hour to ensure that they don’t get bored. This tip is ideal for short and long trips
Toys to consider
·    IPad, tablets etc.
·    Headphones (preferably one for each child boys and girls)
·    Balls (soccer, rugby, tennis, football)

4. Take regular toilet stops.
Never trust the words “I don’t have to go”.
Make sure that your child goes to the
bathroom, even if they say that they don’t
have to, because 5 minutes later they’ll have
to. Fluids are important, but don’t give them
too much or they’ll need to go to the bathroom
every few minutes. Always kee an extra toilet
paper roll in your car

5. Pack your child’s rucksack.
Your child should have an input, in what must be packed in their rucksack, but you must make sure that they don’t pack it to heavy with unnecessary things.

6. Wet wipes
Don’t forget your wet wipes, unless you want that sticky hands against your windows and seats.

7.Don’t forget the First Aid Kit.
Children easily get sick or hurt so make sure to pack some
  •             plasters
  •             antiseptic cream and wipes
  •        painkillers
  •        Tweezers
  •        Scissors
  •        Cough medicine
  •        sterile gloves
8. Encourage them to keep a journal.
The best ways to build memories is by traveling. By encouraging your child to keep a travel journal, you’re giving him/her the opportunity to build memories. It can encourage them to do more things.

9. Keep them comfortable
An uncomfortable child equals an unhappy child. Make sure that your child is dressed up in soft clothes like pajamas. A pillow can also help to make them more comfortable.

travel tips

Tips to consider before traveling
Here's your list:

1.Make a list
Make a list at least a week before going on a trip, what to remember and what you do not want to forget at home. An important lesson that I and many others learned in the past is, if you think of something, write it down, because you'll forget it.

2. Plan your outfits
If you don’t want to spent your trips with all black or all grey outfits then plan your outfits.
It's a hint that would pay of if you like to take pictures, because you do not want to look back and wish you had made the effort

3.backpack with the following

1.Electronics
2.Medications
3.Toothbrush
4.Extra underwear
5.Swimsuit(good idea when you’re going on a beach vacation)

This items should always be in your carry-on. Most of this items
can be bought when your bag gets lost, but having them in your backpack can save money and time if your luggage gets lost.
4.Before using public transport, First, find out the price.
Always ask about the price before you hop on a bus or any other form of public transport. Me and many others have learned this lesson the hard way

5.First Aid Kit
Always take a small first aid kit with you on a trip.
Take a look at this list and decide what you will need:
  1. Plasters
  2. Bandages
  3. Anticeptic
  4. Pain relief tablets
  5. Wound cleaning gauzes
  6. Sterile dressings
  7. Tweezers
  8. Scissors
  9. Treatment for sunburn
  10. Insect repellent
  11. Insect bite treatment
  12. Medical gloves

6.Be patient

It is extremely important to stay calm, and to have patience when you’re traveling.
Unfortunately, it's a hard reality that plans don't always go the way you wanted it to. This is also the case with travel, It’s important to always plan for delays, stay calm and don’t get upset when things go wrong.

7.Remember to pack a spare battery(or two)

Have you ever gotten to the most beautiful photo spot you've ever seen, just to realize that your camera batter is dead and you don’t have a back up?. Don't miss that perfect moment.

8. Make sure someone at home know your plans
It is extremely important that someone know your plans. If an accident or something happens, there is someone that know where you might be. Remember to keep in touch.

9. Don’t keep all your money sources in one place.
One of the most valuable lessons that i've learned in my life is to never keep all your money and cards in one spot. Always hide some cash and a back up credit card in a seperate bag

A great product to think about buying for your next trip is this 5 star:Anti Theft Travel Pouch

10.The most necessary things go on top
If you think that a particular item can be useful to you very soon, put it on top. This is very obvious advice, but it’s so obvious that we bound to forget.
For example a jacket-put it on top
