tips for traveling with children

Everyone knows that children can be a handful. Traveling with children requires a lot of planning to assure that your next trip doesn't become your next nightmare.
When traveling with children the following tips can be helpfull.
1.Brand your child
As funny as this may seem, this tip has helped a lot of parents. Children can easily become interested in the environment around them and can start wandering off. You can minimize the risk of losing your child by writing down your number on your child’s arm or by making them a necklace or bracelet.

2. always carry snacks with you
There are only a few things in life as dangerous as a hungry child. To make sure you have a happy child while traveling and not someone who’s constantly screaming and moaning, feed them with snacks until it’s time for a meal. Snacks are very important BUT try to avoid sweets. This will save you the troubles of dealing with a child who has a sugar rush.
Snacks to consider:
·    Fruits: Apples, oranges etc.
·    Dried fruits
·    Nuts(make sure they’re not allergic)
·    Rice cakes
·    Bars(fruit/nut bars, cereal bars)
·    Sandwiches
·    Sausages
·    boiled eggs

3. Activities to keep them busy
Always make sure you have enough toys for your child. Give them a toy once an hour to ensure that they don’t get bored. This tip is ideal for short and long trips
Toys to consider
·    IPad, tablets etc.
·    Headphones (preferably one for each child boys and girls)
·    Balls (soccer, rugby, tennis, football)

4. Take regular toilet stops.
Never trust the words “I don’t have to go”.
Make sure that your child goes to the
bathroom, even if they say that they don’t
have to, because 5 minutes later they’ll have
to. Fluids are important, but don’t give them
too much or they’ll need to go to the bathroom
every few minutes. Always kee an extra toilet
paper roll in your car

5. Pack your child’s rucksack.
Your child should have an input, in what must be packed in their rucksack, but you must make sure that they don’t pack it to heavy with unnecessary things.

6. Wet wipes
Don’t forget your wet wipes, unless you want that sticky hands against your windows and seats.

7.Don’t forget the First Aid Kit.
Children easily get sick or hurt so make sure to pack some
  •             plasters
  •             antiseptic cream and wipes
  •        painkillers
  •        Tweezers
  •        Scissors
  •        Cough medicine
  •        sterile gloves
8. Encourage them to keep a journal.
The best ways to build memories is by traveling. By encouraging your child to keep a travel journal, you’re giving him/her the opportunity to build memories. It can encourage them to do more things.

9. Keep them comfortable
An uncomfortable child equals an unhappy child. Make sure that your child is dressed up in soft clothes like pajamas. A pillow can also help to make them more comfortable.

Reasons Why We Travel

Here are some reasons we travel.
1.To start appreciating your life:
Your home is very special but sometimes we get stuck in our daily lives, we lose sight of what we really have.
There is nothing like travel to give you back that appreciation for your home, friends, family, town etc.
Travel is the perfect opportunity to connect with your friends and family.

2.Great way to learn
One of the best ways to learn new knowledge and skills is to travel. It gives us the opportunity to experience things that are unfamiliar to us, other cultures, languages, foods, ways of doing things, religions etc. It teaches us the history of your own country as well as other countries. Every destination offers something unique. It’s the perfect way to gain a deep satisfaction because of the new knowledge and skills you’ve gained.

3.Escaping
It’s one of the best ways to deal with demanding jobs, relationship breakups, dealing with a divorce and even dealing with the loss of a loved one. Stress is killing us and one of the best ways to relief stress is to travel. Travel gives us the opportunity to do what we want (legally of course). The best way to forget about everyday life is to travel to a place with beautiful scenery. For those workaholics like me it’s the best way to break away and just forget about the busy schedules, and one of the best ways to get a new perspective on difficult problems.

4.Adventure
We as humans love new experiences, what better way to find adventure than to go on an adventurous trip. We have to do some things out of our comfort zone, it’s a great way to realize what you’re capable of. Adventures includes eating spicy food(not too much), it can be something physical, like hiking, bungee jumping, scuba diving. It’s the greatest feeling ever after you did something out of you comfort zone. You’ll feel a sense of accomplishment. Your best memories are those from doing something adventurous.

5.Celebrating
Traveling is best way to celebrate your, anniversary, wedding, graduation etc. It’s the perfect way to gather family and friends on birthdays, Christmas, New year’s etc.

6.Relaxing
Everyone can benefit from a break, it can’t be all work and no play. We have so much stress and responsibilities that we do not always realize that we need to relax. Everyone needs their time away from social media, phone emails etc. Everyone needs their moment in the sun, the sound of waves, the lapping water and of course the silence away from our everyday noises, no traffic, no stress, no noise.  On this type of vacation it’s important to just do nothing, enjoy the moment, go do sightseeing, eat different foods. Just reboot your mind and body.

7.Strengthening your relationships
Traveling with friends and family has a way of bringing people closer to one another. You can take a romantic trip to just put that spark back into your relationship. Or you can take a trip with your friends to strengthen that bond between you and them. These trips can involve parents, grandparents and children on a boat cruise or it can be mom, dad and the kids taking a road trip to go visit grandma and grandpa. Travel is the perfect opportunity to work on that family grudge, or to connect with your parents or brothers again.

8.Getting in touch with yourself
It’s important for everyone to get their needed alone time and space. It’s during these times where your mind must wander. traveling solo is the best way to learn more about yourself. Travel brings a lot of opportunities, but it also brings a lot of issues, and it’s important to see these issues as opportunities to strengthen yourself. After a solo trip you’ll return home with a fresh perspective of what you want to achieve in life.

9.To challenge yourself
For all those that feel stuck in your daily live. For all those who crave new experiences and challenges. If you want to challenge yourself I suggest that you travel, because travel sometimes pushes people to their limits. Challenges may be to go zip-line or to order a meal in a language that you don’t understand. Overcoming challenges will bring you joy and pride. It’s an excellent way to build confidence.

10.It gives you perspective
To travel helps people to be more open minded. You’ll meet people and you’ll realize that everyone is different. No place is the same and you can’t imagine it, until you experience it. Everyone’s belief, religion, values, interests are not the same as your own.
